Perimeter Global Logistics is a Woman-Owned Company:
PGL is owned and led by Lyn Lamothe, CEO. We’re passionate about empowering women through creating an equal-opportunity space for them to grow and develop. This strong foundation is exactly why the women at PGL maintain such a positive outlook on their careers.
Another one of PGL’s interns, Gracie Powers, says, “I’ve been given an opportunity to learn through seeing what goes into all the processes. Being able to see from different point of views through various conversations, meetings and events has helped me understand the logistics industry.”
How PGL Encourages Women to Work in the Logistics Industry:
I never imagined I’d enter the logistics field. I knew none of the terminology, had no clue what logistics actually entailed, and honestly thought it was “a guy’s job.” But when the chance to work as a female marketing intern at PGL came up, I jumped at the opportunity.
The people here genuinely invest time in making me feel welcomed and prepared to enter a field that many women know little about. My mentors—both men—encourage me to expand my understanding by asking questions and observing everything from office operations to the bigger picture. They’ve helped me navigate the complex logistics world while never once making me doubt my worth in the process.
PGL actively encourages women to explore the depths of 3PL, shipping, freight, and beyond. Whether or not I ultimately build my career in logistics, I’m certain my experience at PGL is setting me up for success. I’ve already learned tremendously, and that’s because PGL commits to dependability—not just for their clients, but as a company their employees can truly count on. The women here do everything, and they do it well.
Why You Should Take the Leap into Logistics!
Logistics is an ever-evolving field that adapts with the latest and greatest technology, yet its fundamental mission remains constant: successfully moving freight from point A to point B. This mission requires exceptional attention to detail—a strength that many women naturally bring to the table.
To close, PGL is a company built on a family culture. Every individual is genuinely valued, and contributions never go unnoticed. As an employee, you’re empowered to take ownership of your work, but at the end of the day, collaboration is essential and remains at the heart of our daily operations.
